Refit Projects

Koyukon is 45 years old and she's earning every one of these upgrades. Here's what we're working on right now.

In Progress

Galley Redesign

A full rebuild of the galley — currently underway, told as a multi-part series on the channel. Follow the whole arc on the videos page.

In Progress

Bronze Chainplate Fabrication

Replacing the original chainplates with new ones we're fabricating ourselves in bronze — a big structural project we're documenting start to finish.

Planned

Ground Tackle Upgrade

A new windlass and chain to pair with our Mantus M2 anchor and S2 swivel, ahead of heading further offshore. Details on the gear page.
