Two people, one golden retriever, and a 45-year-old ketch called Koyukon.
Jayme grew up in Las Vegas — about as far from the ocean as you can get — which is where she met Jason. Neither of us set out to end up living on a sailboat. Life took us from Las Vegas to New Mexico for Jason's work, with Jayme building her career remotely along the way, and eventually down to Pensacola, Florida. That's where home base is now: Koyukon, and the RV parked nearby.
For twenty years, Jayme worked in health care. In November 2025, she walked away from that career to try something completely different — living aboard full-time and building this channel from the ground up. These days, if you're watching an episode, you're looking at her work: she's behind the camera, in the edit, and running the whole show.
We posted our first Sunday episode in May 2026 and haven't missed a week since, documenting the refit, the setbacks, and the slow, unglamorous process of turning a boat older than either of us into a home.
The two of us, in our own words.
Twenty years in health care, then a full stop in November 2025 to build this channel from scratch. She's behind the camera, in the edit, and running the show — if you're watching an episode, you're looking at her work.
Grew up landlocked and never expected to end up living aboard a 45-year-old ketch. Handles the refit work, the systems, and whatever the boat throws at him — foggy passages included.
A few more moments from the water — and a lot more where these came from.
Our golden retriever, ship's dog, and full cast member. If you've watched more than one episode, you've met him — he's part of the crew, not a side character.
